This tour also began at Federation Square where I was met 3 other woman, plus our tour guide Zoe.
I chose to do the Lanes & Arcade Tour which allowed me to venture to many great boutiques that I would have never stumbled upon as a tourist.
One particular shop I found interesting was Wickedweased which sold only g-strings! Not really my style of underwear but I know people who swear by them and would love a store like this.
We also checked out a store called Etal where Anthony, the winner of Australia's Project Runway, designs.
Many of the lane ways were especially cool because the state (Victoria) council permits graffiti art. Each month the walls are painted over for artists to return and create new designs.
Melbourne is known for their scrumptious chocolate, including many Lindt stores and cafes! We stopped at a chocolate cafe and all ordered quite decadent drinks.
We checked out Pigment Art Gallery, where this following piece entitled 'Moral Support' goes for $1200!
Design a space retail gallery has a super cool concept - they will rent out racks to new up and coming local designers for up to 3 or 4 months at a time!
Later in the evening I had my flight to Cairns where I am now at the biggest party hostel ever, my friend Michelle would loveeee it. Not only does my single room come with a tv and dvd player, on suite bathroom and private balcony - there is also an on site bar and pool! If you still don't think it's a party hostel... they gave me condoms on my arrival!
